Christmas Day at Grandma and Grandpa Duax's

After we have Christmas morning at our house, we always go to Brian's parent's house. It was a great, relaxing day, with good food and good company.

Christmas Day!

Our boys received so many wonderful gifts. I hate to say it, but I am relieved it is over. Brian and I are exhausted!!!!

Let's not forget what Christmas is really all about. Jesus was born on this day to bring us salvation! We hope you all had the best Christmas spent with your families! God Bless.

Getting ready for Santa

After a long day of spending good times with the family, we came home and got ready for Santa. Ty and Tate went out front and sprinkled reindeer food on teh front lawn so they wouldn't be hungry and then the boys put some cookies on a plate for Santa with a glass of milk, of course. They were both asleep within minutes!:)

Christmas Eve Day / Night

It is hard to believe another Christmas has come and gone.

Christmas Eve Day (morning) we had my Aunt Shelley and Uncle Mike (and cousins) come over for our own, small Christmas, along with my sister and her family. It is always great to get together with them.

Ty and Carter are hilarious to watch open gifts, as you can imagine. They are only 2 1/2 weeks apart and at the perfect age for receiving gifts. Carter received an Optimus Prime outfit and Ty a Bumblebee outfit. For those who don't know, they are charecters from the movie Transformers. Ty received two different puzzles and Max some bath toys.

Then Christmas Eve night we always go to my Grandma Jackie's house. It is always great to see everyone and catch up.

A little time outside!

We thought because it wasn't too cold, we would head outside and get some snow time in! Tate lasted about 15 minutes before he kept wanting to take off his mittens. Then Paris had to go inside because she was running around on the ice so much that her back paw started bleeding. Nonetheless, it was still great to get us all out there and play in the snow for a bit! We cherish these times!

The crazy pups!

Tate couldn't walk in the snow and hated his mittens!! :)

Kiley turns 5!

Ty and Tate's only female cousin, Kiley turned 5 and we celebrated last weekend. Time sure does fly!

Kiley open our present! A Tinkerbell outfit.

Frosty!

Ty had to bring cupcakes for his Christmas party last Friday and this is what we came up with. Pretty cute, if I do say so myself! :)

My very own Tarzans!

As you previously read, Ty loves to be in his undies! He has also recently been obsessed with the Disney movie Tarzan. As such, he now loves to run around in his undies because he is just like Tarzan when he does that. This particular day, Cousin Carter was over and wanted to participate, which lead Tate to follow suit! Too funny!

You can't catch me!

We decided to decorate a gingerbread house! The boys loved it and they actually did a pretty good job applying all the beads and candy. The icing was a little tough, even for mom! Please pretend Ty is wearing clothes. For those of you who know us well, you know that Ty LOVES to be in just his underwear!!

The end product! They did a great job!

Christmas card photo . . . . .!

Every year I wince at the thought of taking the Christmas card photo! Well, this year I sat the boys on stools in front of our ugly, Charlie Brown Christmas tree (we have decided starting next year we will get a real tree that doesn't have a 5 foot gap at the bottom)and got them prepped to take the photo. Inevitably, Tate started arching his back and throwing a fit because he wanted me to hold him. How did I get them to sit so nicely and take such a great photo you ask? Well, I sat them up and then had to leave the room, walk in casually, and then pretend to trip on my own feet and fall down! Oh boy did that work - they both laughed hysterically! Thus, is how the Duax's obtain such a cute Christmas card. :)

The final product!

Not so much!

Ty's smile is okay, but Tate...um, no!

The Duax and Sandvig Boys! Best Buds!

Our good friends, the Sandvig's children go to school with our boys, which is how we met. Benny (their oldest) is in Ty's class and Joe (thier youngest) is in Tate's class. They are all great buds and there is never a dull moment when our broods are together! :) Love you Sandvig's!!!

Meet Molly!

Brian and I have come to realize that we are borderline psychotic, but nonetheless went ahead and brought home a black, 5 month old Great Dane, Molly May Duax. She really is a great dog. It helps, though, that we have Jax and Paris because they are such great dogs, Molly does whatever they do. They are great examples for her.

Her first week here was a little rough because she had the runs. After three days of that I brought her into the vet where she was tested for parasites and othre various things that could cause the runs. Good news was that she did not have any parasites or other contagious, disgusting ailments. However, the vet went ahead and put her on a small dose of antibiotics to ensure there was nothing going on in her intestines. Within 24 hours she was pooping solid and has been ever since. I would even go as far as to say she is pretty much potty trained, too!

She has been a wonderful edition to our family and has made the boys smile alot! We love our Molly May Duax!
